Myanmar Diplomatic Academy

As part of extra-curricular activities, participants of the Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies (Batch 2) from the Myanmar Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conducted a study visit to the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre of the Embassy of India in Yangon on 5 September 2026.

In the morning, H.E. Mr. Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of India to Myanmar, delivered a briefing on multifaceted bilateral cooperation between India and Myanmar, followed by an interactive Question and Answer session. Afterwards, the Ambassador hosted a luncheon featuring traditional Indian cuisine for the participants.

In the afternoon, the participants visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and had a courtesy meeting with the Chairman and members of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS). During the interaction, MISIS members delivered a lecture titled “Current Trends in Contemporary International Relations”, concluding with an interactive discussion.
